Hi Everyone!

I FINALLY got around to attending to some unfinished business, BECAUSE what else can one do when it is RAINING EVERY DAY! So far we received over 5 1/2″ of rain (in 10 days) and the sweet potatoes and even tomatoes are starting to complain. Cool weather and all…the cabbage, kale and broccoli are growing awfully S-L-O-W-L-Y! This gives the wonderful canola beetles time to FEAST! Then from no where TINY wee grasshoppers show up, eating what is left! L0L! Will there be anything left for us??

Anyway…on to more FUN things!

As many of you know, who attended our spring clear-out of EXCESS vegetable plants, our Green House was offering a RAFFLE in appreciation of all the wonderful customers who have passed through our doors over the years! Because it was our FINAL plant year, we thought to give back a little something. Please be assured that only local folks could participate, because we will not be delivering the prizes. They were for personal pick-up only.

THE 3 PRIZES were:

1) Worth $60.00 – Included are: 10 new flats of germination trays (98’s); 1 large bag (75 lbs) of aged horse manure; 1 – 2 kg container of Gaia Green organic fertilizer and various assortments of heritage/heirloom vegetable seed packets.

2) Worth $40.00 – Included are: 9 packets of Gaia Green organic fertilizer; 10 new flats of germination trays (98’s) and various assortments of heritage/heirloom vegetable seed packets.

3) Worth $30.00 – Included are: 6 packets of Gaia Green organic fertilizers; 5 new flats of germination trays (98’s) and various assortments of heritage/heirloom vegetable seed packets.
